Double tonic for Chellaston

CHELLASTON Girls' Under-13s celebrated a double this year.

They stormed clear to claim the Arriva Midlands Under-13s Girls' Football League title with a nine-point winning margin and also won the Burton Junior League Girls' Under-13s Cup final.

In their league campaign, they were invincible, not losing a single game. Georgia Barker was their leading scorer with 28 goals in 21 appearances, including the cup, while at the back the team was equally formidable with 13 clean sheets. A 20-0 demolition of Little Eaton was their most emphatic victory of the campaign.

In the Burton Junior League Cup final, they beat Winshill U13 2- 0 thanks to a brace from player of the match Barker.
