No matter how restless Bangaloreans are getting about the World Cup matches, on a majority they have a personal favourite. So, who are they predicting to be the winner and betting their money on while the noose around the neck-to-neck competition tightens further?

For fashion designer Manoviraj Khosla, it is Argentina, as he says, "Argentina stands a good chance. They are playing well and are also the hot favourites. I will stand by Argentina and go ahead to bet my money on them if I had to." While Manoviraj favours Argentina, luxury brand consultant Harish Bijoor says, "After what happened to Italy, it would be difficult to say who might win. But although some players from Argentina are not in form currently, they are strong and will pick up. I think they stand a chance to take the cup home this season."

With the matches over the last few days turning unpredictable, people are having second thoughts and want to play safe. Magician Ugesh Sorcar says, "After watching a few matches, I think Brazil is the team to take home the cup. There could also be a tie-breaker between Argentina and Brazil. But I'd bet my money on Brazil this year." Restaurateur Vikram says, " It's not just me, my friends are also betting their money on Argentina. I feel the team on the whole is very energetic and with players like Lionel Messi and Diego Milito, they just can't lose."

It doesn't stop there, as model Sujith Sebastian and Aslam Gafoor, COO, Weber Grills, are also among those who are betting their money on Argentina. Aslam feels that though the game is getting tougher, Argentina is more likely to win and says, "They seem pretty set. They appear poised and are ready to take the World Cup back home." Sujith, who has been following every match this season, is very confident that Argentina will be declared the winner. He also predicts their move in the match and says, "Argentina is more likely to score a goal within the first fifteen minutes from the commencement of the game, although major action will take place during the second half. Messi will find some loop hole and score a goal. I support Spain and Argentina, but if I were to bet my money on a team, that's Argentina."
